肉石系天然石种,多数属沉积岩,硅质岩或变质岩,是在地质运动过程中与其他矿物质接触色化而成。石上的色彩是在形成过程中与其他矿物质接触色化而成,也有部分是受岩浆高温冷却速度差异而生成,常常出现生、熟、腌制、风干等质感。
